Upon your arrival at Istanbul cruise port, enjoy a guided Istanbul shore tour, visiting the most iconic landmarks. Your professional tour guide will greet you with a sign displaying your name. After greetings, you’ll be directed to your private minivan.

On this Istanbul Cruise Shore Excursion, you’ll visit some of the most iconic landmarks in the city such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace. You will be given the opportunity to experience the best examples of the Turkish cuisine, during lunch (not included). After this unforgettable journey, you’ll be returned to the port.

Hippodrome
Hippodrome, once the center of Byzantine public life, the Hippodrome was the site of thrilling chariot races and grand events. 

Blue Mosque
The Blue Mosque, also known as Sultan Ahmed Mosque, is an iconic and magnificent structure located in the heart of Istanbul. The Blue Mosque was constructed between 1609-1616 by Sultan Ahmed I. The mosque is called ‘Blue Mosque’ because of its famous adornment of thousands of blue tiles and its iconic dome and six minarets can be seen from all over Sultanahmet.

Hagia Sophia
Hagia Sophia is a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture that has served as a cathedral, mosque and museum. You will admire the grandeur of its dome, intricate mosaics and fascinating blend of Christian and Islamic influences. In July 2020, Hagia Sophia underwent a significant transformation once again. Turkish authorities decided to revert its status to a mosque, allowing regular Islamic prayers. 

Topkapi Palace
The Topkapi Palace (closed on Tuesdays) served as the Ottoman Empire’s residence, harem and treasury for nearly 400 years. Explore its rooms, stunning courtyards and the impressive Harem as you learn about the lavish lifestyle of the Ottoman rulers. Don’t miss the Treasury and Sacred Relics, which house priceless artifacts. The palace offers an immersive look into the lifestyle of the Ottoman rulers.

Grand Bazaar
The Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays), one of the oldest and largest covered bazaars in the world. A unique atmosphere that reflects Istanbul’s spirit, offering an almost endless selection of Turkish carpets, gold, jewellery and artworks available across approximately 4,000 shops.
